Where It All Began

Lily Rose Memory Bears began in 2016 after founder Emma decided to make a bear using her baby daughter’s first baby grows. After sharing her creation with friends and family, she gained a lot of interest and soon began making them for others. It grew from there! Over the years the collection has grown from the original Large and Small memory bears to a variety of animals, blankets, cushions and other special keepsakes. 
Emma is an experienced maker, with an interest in toy making from childhood. Every summer she’d visit her Great Grandma who ran toy making classes and showed her many of the skills needed to hand sew stuffed animals. In 2011 Emma graduated from the University of Derby with a 2:1 BA(Hons) Fashion Studies. Having the sewing, pattern and design skills from her degree gave her the tools needed for her small business endeavour 5 years later.
